Directions

  1. Boil all the ingredients in a saucepan except nuts on high heat, then simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain into cups.
  3. Garnish with nuts.
  4. Serve hot.

I likes Cookie's idea of using the apple juice/water mix and used that also. I loved the delicious outcome and it provided my required daily cinnamon fix. Really, whats not to like? :D

I loved this and so did my 14 month old. My sister also liked it. I used fresh ginger (defiantly dont leave ginger out) and honey stirred in at the end in replacement of the sugar. I toasted the pine nuts in a dry pan and they were a good addition. I didn't have walnuts, maybe next time because I would love to make this again. This would be great during the snowy winter season.

I love the aroma! The drink itself is like a mulled wine, but without the wine. It's a nice, non-alcoholic drink that is festive, therefore special.
