i cook the orange before the other fruit is started 1/4 cup more water than the orange measures ,dont throw out the water use it with apricots

  1. Prepare home canning jars and lids according to manufacturer's
  2. instructions. Cook apricots and orange in water until tender. Press
  3. through a sieve or food mill.
  4. Combine apricot and orange pulp, lemon juice and sugar in a large
  5. saucepot. Cook until thick enough to round up on a spoon. As mixture
  6. thickens, stir frequently to prevent sticking.
  7. Ladle hot butter into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace. Adjust
  8. two-piece caps. Process 10 minutes in a boiling-water canner.
