Apricot Cream Cheese Strata

Stratas are often made iwth savoury ingredients such as sausages and herbs, but this recipe is fun to try as a sweet version. The results are fabulous!!

  1. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan. Combine eggs, milk, ginger, cinnamon, and maple syrup in small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, place 1/3 of breadcubes in bottom of prepared pan. Dot with half of cream cheese cubes, and 1/4 cup of Apricot Jam.
  3. Repeat layers, ending with bread cubes, reserving 1/4 cup of jam.
  4. Pour egg mixture over top and gently press bread mixture down. Cover and refrigerate 1-24 hours.
  5. When ready to bake, drop remaining jam over top and sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 350F for 1 hour or until puffy and golden.
