Made as written for the *Chocolate Challenge* of ZWT6, I have a *Why Not* dy every dy, but it is not this spec as it does not include the brandy or some of the extras. I made a half recipe for Siggi & I to share as a way to limit the indulgence that could easily become habit-forming & it was a real treat. I used cinnamon for the *dust decor* & even a cinnamon stick for myself since I do not waste them on Siggi. He usually gives me 1 of his *What the heck is this for* looks & tosses it aside. I had been resisting this recipe for too long. Thx for sharing it w/us. :-)

This was so good! I scaled it down to 1/2 for DH and I, but I wished later I'd made the whole recipe! It was terrific, rich and delicious. Made for ZWT 6 Chocolate Challenge :)

This cocoa has a rich nutty taste from the brandy, and was a nice bedtime treat. I would probably skip the cinnamon next time, even though I only used a little bit, it was more dominant then expected and I think I'd prefer the chocolate/brandy combo without it. I used Trader Joe's lb plus Dark Chocolate. Thanks French Tart for sharing, made for the Comfort Cafe Winter 2010

Yum! This is a rich and creamy delightful treat! The combination of the 70% chocolate and cinnamon was wonderful, and the brandy really put it over the top. Thanks for sharing!

The perfect thing to take along in a thermos while cutting down our xmas tree this year! Brought a separate container of whipped cream and they were a rich, decadent, total hit!

Our DD just came home from Berlin yesterday, good to have her home. She brought some 'Leysieffer' chocolates and it had both the 30% and 70% chocolate bars in the bag. So when I found this recipe I knew I had to make this for ZWT4. I used Hennessy Congnc in making mine, talk about a smooth drink. Thank you for posting, I'll make it agin this winter. I made this for *Zaar World Tour 4* 2008 round 4 the *Family Picks* I'm playing on the team *Tastebud Tickling Travelers* Go team go!

This hot chocolate is really good! Love everything in it. What's not to like with milk mixed with real melted chocolate with cinnamon and liquor and whipped cream on top. I usually have mine with powdered cocoa so this is a real treat! Thanks for posting this, FT!

This is a real treat for chocolate lovers! My husband - who enjoys regular hot chocolate at times - thought it was a bit much. My son and I, however, thought it was great! (It's so chocolatey that next time I might add even more brandy!) Thanks for sharing.

This hot chocolate is so rich, cinnamony and chocolatey, it is just divine. The cognac was a fabulous addition. I have been feeling under the weather and this put that smile right back on my face! Made for Zaar World Tour 4. Whine and Cheese.
