Very good muffin idea. Easy to modify and still maintain a great muffin. I double the apple sauce and add a few more oats, then put in a generous amount of Crasins (cranberrys) yummy.

These are delicious!! I did make a few changes: I just added the cinnamon into the muffins instead of putting it on top (and I think I will experiment with more spices next time!), I added small chunks of Granny Smith apples instead of nuts or raisins, and I only had to cook them for about 15 minutes in my oven. I will absolutely be making these again and again! Delish!

These are DELICIOUS! They're moist and the perfect amount of sweetness: I also really liked the cinnamon and sugar mixture- it provides a nice "finish". I halved the recipe and used one whole egg instead of two egg whites. It was quick and painless to complete. I will definitely be making these again- thanks so much!!

I halved the recipe to make 6 yummy muffins! I followed the recipe exactly and added in 1/4 c. of raisins. Next time I'd like to put nuts in it too. The cinnamon & sugar topping adds a nice touch of sweetness for me and we ate them warm. Great recipe!

I can't seem to leave well enough alone.. I really tried to stick to the exact recipe, but something must magically come over me when I put on my apron that compels me to tweak recipes a tad here and there.. So with that being said- I love the fact that you can play with this recipe to make it uniquely yours.. Here is the list of changes I made: I used 2% milk, un-bleached flour (simply because I was out of the brown), 2 Mott's cinnamon apple sauces (because that is the only apple sauce I had in the house), 1/2 mini chocolate chips, and a handful of crushed pecans.. I would watch the time with these little jews, I set the timer for 20 mins and came back 2 mins prior to it going off to find they were a tad on the over-done side.. But still- YUMMY!

I'm on a low fat low sodium diet, so it's really hard to find tasty things to eat.Considering there's under 1 g of fat in this recipe, these muffins are really good!I accidiently bought steel cut oats, so they had a kind of nutty texture.I ommited the salt, and the cinnamon and sugar on top, and added 40g of fat free dried cranberries, and 30g of chocolate chips (8g fat for entire recipe, or an extra .66g per muffin).Just that little bit of extras were worth it.Next time I may add fresh fruit-really the sky's the limit with this recipe-it's a very good base for any kind of extras you want.Thank you Tattooed Lady, for a GREAT recipe!
