This is an awesome recipe that my wife just made this morning. The TOPPING is the key to making these extra yummy! Tasty way to get your morning oats!
Ingredients:
Muffins
Topping (My wife actually doubles this)
Directions:
1
Heat oven to 400.
2
Line 12 medium muffin tins with paper cups(optional)(spray muffin tin with cooking spray w/o paper cups).
3
Combine oats, flour, cinnamon, baking powder and baking soda.
4
Add applesauce, milk, brown sugar, oil and egg white.
5
Mix just until dry ingredients are moistened.
6
Fill muffin cups almost full.
7
For topping combine remaining ingredients. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
8
Bake 20-22 minutes until deep golden brown.
9
Serve Warm.
Ratings & Reviews:
I really liked these. They aren't too sweet, which makes them nice for butter! This was what I was looking for, so I'm happy! Maybe next time I'll try using WW flour and make them healthier. Thanks for sharing!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! These are FABULOUS! Used 3/4 cup white flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour. I finely chopped up one apple and coated it with cinnamon. Spread the apple among the six of them between the muffin and the topping. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!
