      This cake was absolutely delicious and easy to make. I thought it was just the perfect amount of sweetness and totally disagree with the previous reviewer who said it lacked sweetness. Either they are accustomed to eating super sweet desserts or the applesauce they used did not have sufficient natural sweetness I followed the recipe exactly except that I used spelt flour and used baked pureed apples which wer naturally sweet. I am glad that I did not let the previous 3 star rating discourage me from trying this recipe. This cake easily earned 5 stars.
