  1. Sift together all the dry ingredients, add nuts and raisins.
  2. Stir in the oil, vanilla and hot applesauce.
  3. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until done.

I made this because I had no eggs on hand. What a good choice! I omitted the cocoa because my SO doesn't like fruit and chocolate together. This cake is so moist and delicious. I served it with homemade whipped topping.

This is delicious. It has no eggs, so if your out of eggs, this works. Very moist and flavorful. The one thing I will change next time, is to omit the cocoa. We love walnuts and raisins, but of course that is up to each cook.
