Each serving is 1/2 cup. This came from Cornell Cooperative Extension. I have not tried this just posting for safe keeping.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Put apples in a saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Add water, sugar and spice.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring frequently until apples are cooked well.
  4. Cool. (Remove cinnamon stick before mashing if you used one). Mash with a potato masher or a fork.
  5. Chill and serve.
