I guess I am the lone dissenter, but we didn't really like these at all. I ended up tossing mosr of them and my four-year-old asked me to "never make them again". I'm sorry. I know that seems pretty harsh. I can't figure out why we didn't like them better. To be fair, we don't eat much fried food. We eat lots of french fries, real fried chicken about twice a year and homemade doughnuts or fried pickles maybe once a year. So.....I wanted to try these for a special treat. But my kids would only eat the cinnamon sugar off of them, even though they love apples, and my husband and I didn't really care for them either. Oh well. It was a good try. And I love the name of the recipe....so cute.
