  1. I took these to a church potluck and they were a hit. Thanks for the recipe. I did not peel my apples, and used Gala, since that is what I had on hand.

  2. Yummy recipe. Big hit at our house last night. Made for your Football Pool week 10 win.

  3. Oooh, made these for dessert tonight! They were delish! I rolled in cinnamon sugar, so I ended up needing a little more. Might try it with homemade caramel sauce or chocolate sauce next time! YUM!

  4. I guess I am the lone dissenter, but we didn't really like these at all. I ended up tossing mosr of them and my four-year-old asked me to "never make them again". I'm sorry. I know that seems pretty harsh. I can't figure out why we didn't like them better. To be fair, we don't eat much fried food. We eat lots of french fries, real fried chicken about twice a year and homemade doughnuts or fried pickles maybe once a year. So.....I wanted to try these for a special treat. But my kids would only eat the cinnamon sugar off of them, even though they love apples, and my husband and I didn't really care for them either. Oh well. It was a good try. And I love the name of the recipe....so cute.

  5. The kids loved this! Of course, they don't need to watch their calories intake so they could enjoy it. Next time I'll try to bake them so I don't feel guilty. Thanks for sharing a delicious apple treat!
