1. As another reviewer mentioned this is really runny and does not stay in the middle of the tortilla.
2. Do not use cheap tortillas! I sent someone else shopping and should have known that I would not get what I wanted.
3. This being said, my tortillas ripped every time and because the mixture was so runny it just ended up everywhere. Also I cut this recipe in half and still had a ton of mixture leftover (did not want to deal with it either).
But in the end after being fried they turned out awkward but ended up tasting great but with unfortunately a very thick tortilla "layer" so we drizzled them with the extra mixture. So I will keep this recipe on hand for when I decide to deep fry stuff as it worked out well in the end :D

What a tasty dessert! My husband said it was a keeper. I couldn't find in the directions where you add the flour so I just added it in with the cheese mix. It must have been right. I'll definately make this again.

10 stars !!!!!!!
AMAZING. I had first had this dessert at Applebee's and fell in love with it. I was very excited to find this recipe. Very easy to make. I made the filling and filled the tortillas this morning chilled until after dinner then fried then up (doesnt take long at all) then baked them. YUMMY..
This recipe made 13 desserts.
I plan on freezing the leftovers for quick desserts. This recipe tastes just like the real thing.

I can't even begin to say how excited I was to find this recipe. I've been dying for these ever since Applebee's took them off their menu (what were they thinking). I had to use spiced apples because my grocery store didn't carry regular ones, but it was still absolutely incredible. They even chill and reheat pretty well!

These were really good. I did alter the apples for mixed berries because I didnt have any apple pie filling. The only thing I found was the mixture was fairly runny (compared to what I thought it would be). I added a bit more flour and ended up having them in the fridge overnight and make them for tonights dessert. I used mixed berries over the top as well. My dad was here for supper and thought they were really good even before he knew the name of them. I will make again for sure.

I made these for dessert for my Olympic dinner and they are a Gold medal winner. I never had them at Applebee's but I am so glad I tried the recipe. Diet, what diet? Oh yeah, I used whole wheat and white flour tortillas and I thought the whole wheat were better

I couldn't wait to make these when this recipe was posted. My husband has always wanted to try them at Applebee's but he's allergic to nuts and has never gotten to enjoy them. I found some cinnamon chips at the store and I used them instead of the toffee for him. They were wonderful!!! We even made homemade vanilla ice cream to serve with them. They certainly need ice cream, otherwise they would be too rich. I was worried that the filling would come out when they were fried, but they held up well. I don't think they were as beautiful as the ones from the restaurant but they were tasty. And relatively easy to make. You just have to wait for them to chill. We ended up doing that overnight. But they were yummmmyyy!!! Thank you for the recipe!
