    Directions:

    1. 1
      Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter 8-inch square baking pan. Combine first 3 ingredients in large bowl and mix well with wooden spoon. Add flour, baking soda, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and mix well. Fold in apples and walnuts. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake until top is browned and tester inserted in center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. Serve cake immediately.
