  1. In a large saucepan, combine the apples, sugar, tapioca, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
  2. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until apples are tender.
  4. Transfer apple mixture to a greased 9-in. pie plate.
  5. Place biscuits over apples.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until biscuits are browned.
  7. Immediately invert onto a serving plate.
  8. Tip: In a pinch, you can substitute canned apple pie filling instead.
