Delicious combination that I discovered the other day. My new “thing” is experimenting with apple slices and various toppings, and this is definitely a keeper!! Use good-quality ingredients, preferably organic, to get the full flavor experience. Great stuff for snacks or appetizers. Vary the amounts to your taste-- this is about right for me (and for the size of apple I’ve been using). If you use unsweetened applesauce, you might like to add a pinch of brown sugar or a wee bit of honey.
- Slice apple into 6-8 wedges.
- Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl.
- Spread each wedge liberally with ricotta-apple mixture and consume.
- Repeat, repeat, repeat.
