Make and share this Apple Pork Chops recipe from Food.com.
- 3 lbs pork chops
- 3 apples
- 1 medium onion
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 tablespoon rosemary
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Brown pork chops in olive oil until golden.
- Season with rosemary, salt and pepper.
- Top with sliced apples and onions.
- Bake in a 325°F oven for 1 1/2 hours or until chops are fork tender.
These did not turn out to have much flavor or color for me. The directions do not, at this point, include what to do with the apple juice, so I added it just before placing the chops in the oven.
tagged for Comfort Cafe 2009. DH gave you 3 WOW's so that gets you 5+ stars. We really enjoyed this for dinner. It took alot for me not to add garlic (Love the stuff) but I did not and followed to a T the directions. This is now in my favorites for pork cookbook. I used the bits from the braising and dumped over the pork chops before they went into the oven. The smell of rosemary and apple really made the house cozy. The apples cook to a fine "mush" and once plated were spread over top the chops. Excellent. Thank you.
