A delicious new twist for pork chop and apple lovers.
- 29.58 ml vegetable oil
- 118.29 ml chopped onion
- 4 pork chops (1/2-inch thick)
- 2.46 ml salt
- ground black pepper
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 29.58 ml brown sugar
- 2.46 ml ground mustard
- 0.59 ml ground cloves
- 177.44 ml hot water
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Heat oil in large skillet.
- Saute onion in oil for 1 minute, or until tender.
- Remove onion and set aside.
- Brown pork chops in remaining oil, two minutes on each side.
- Place chops in 8x12 inch baking dish; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Layer apples and cooked onion over chops.
- In small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, cloves and water.
- Pour over chops.
- Cover and bake 30-45 minutes.
Cooking pork chops always seems to be tricky to get them moist and flavorful. These chops offer both! Very Good! My husband and I both enjoyed them!

I will be making this delicious recipe again and again. It was so simple to prepare and tasted like I had put much more work into it. It looked lovely on the plate with the apple topping and I loved the taste.
