I made my own pie crust instead of using the readymade ones the recipe calls for. The recipe is very rich. It is a delicious pie. I have made the recipe twice in the past week and the first time I made it, everything turned out fine. But oddly, the second time I made it; the apples did not cook long enough. I followed the directions exactly both times, strange huh? The pie was fantastic though.

  1. Prepare pie shells.
  2. Peel and slice apples.
  3. Mix togeth- er 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and heavy cream.
  4. Pour over apples.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Arrange in pastry shell.
  7. Combine and sprinkle over top 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
  8. Bake 50 to 60 minutes in a 350 degrees oven.
