Apple Pie

This recipe is from a friend and has been passed around campfires often with eager anticipation. It is a very sweet and smooth alcoholic drink that is perfect for cool autumn evenings.

• Total Time: 25 mins
• Prep Time: 10 mins
• Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients:

Servings: 50

• 1 gallon apple cider
• ½ gallon apple juice
• 2 cups sugar
• 5 cinnamon sticks
• 2 cups Everclear alcohol

Directions:

1. Heat first three ingredients to dissolve sugar.
2. Once it has cooled, add 2 C. Everclear.
3. Add 1-2 cinnamon sticks per glass bottle.
4. Pour into glass bottles.
5. Makes 2 1/2 Gal.

Served this at a girl's only cookie exchange this past weekend. Was easy to put together, although you do need put it together at least a few hours in advance in order for it to be nice and cooled. I'm not sure about the Apple Pie taste, though, but cider and apple juice are always tasty. I too cut down on the sugar and was glad I did otherwise it would be way to sweet. This tastes just like the one I had at the bar last week. I made for an event I attended and it was a great hit...everyone wanted the recipe. No Everclear in Ohio, so I used 151 vodka.
