Delicious!!! My DD is home from college for a visit before fall semester starts, so I made this for our breakfast this morning and we both loved it. I didn't have apple pie filling, so made my own, using 2 small granny smith apples, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 cup brown sugar, which I cooked all of this in the butter and then topped with the batter and baked it as directed. This made a wonderful filling and a wonderful sweet treat for our breakfast!! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for ZWT 9.

This would be perfect for breakfast. But I had it as dessert. It's like a puffed pancake with apple pie filling. I used Apple Filling for Pies for the filling. So yummy. Thanks Dienia :) Made for 123 hit wonder

I grew up in Minnesota and went to Pannekoeken Huis many times. This was like a tidbit from my childhood! When I took it out I even ran to the table yelling 'pannekoeken pannekoeken pannekoeken' like they did at the restaurant. They don't do that anymore. I used a 9-in cast iron skillet. I want to try it with blueberry filling, and savory fillings are good also. Thank you so much!

We can't get apple pie filling in Belgium so I used apples cut up finely and mixed with brown sugar instead. The directions are very good (maybe you would like to check after 25 min., mine was a bit too brown at the bottom, every oven is different of course). For me this tasted a bit too eggy, but I'm glad I tried it! Thanks for posting!

Apple Pannekoeken
