Apple Molasses Delights Treats for Dogs

Ingredients:

Serves: 9-36

Yield: 36.0 treats

• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• ½ old fashioned oats
• 1 apple , grated
• 1 egg
• 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
• ½ cup water

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Mix together the flour and oats.
3. Whisk together the apple, egg, vegetable oil, molasses, and water.
4. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet and mix into a firm dough.
5. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thick, cut into desired shapes, and bake for 30-35 minutes or until firm and crisp.
6. The treats will keep up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.

I have lots of fun making these for my dogs, and they readily eat them up- so they approve! Good healthy treat for them free of artificial ingredients and preservatives. I use coconut oil for the vegetable oil. Thanks for posting!
