This is a recipe I found in a pile of hand written recipes at my boyfriend's parent's house. Sounds easy and fool proof.....we shall see huh?


  1. Bring juice, pectin and food coloring (if using) to a boil.
  2. Add sugar.
  3. Boil 2 minutes, stirring all the while.
  4. Skim off any foam.
  5. Pour into prepared jars.
  6. Sit upside down till cooled.

I couldn't find 1 3/4 oz. Certo. So I used powdered pectin that came 1 3/4 oz. packet. The jelly was very easy to make. Looks pretty in the jar and tastes ok. I got 6 half pint jars of jelly from this recipe.
