A warming winter drink that everyone can enjoy! Add a shot of calvados or brandy to each glass to make an alcoholic drink. Note that the recipe needs to be made the day before serving. Adapted from Herkkutori magazine.


  1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan and gently heat to boil. Simmer gently, covered, for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, transfer into a bottle and refrigerate overnight.
  3. When ready to serve, sieve the mixture and gently reheat to boiling point.

This was a great warmer-upper after a day of raking leaves, etc. Very tasty. I had never used lemon in cider before, usually orange, so this was a nice change. The spices were just right. Made for Fall 2011 PAC game.
