Apple Filling

• Yields: 2 cups

ingredients

• 4 cups apples
• 3⁄4 cup sugar
• 1⁄4 cup water
• 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon peel
• 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon rum
• 1⁄4 cup fine breadcrumbs (optional)

directions

1. Cook apples till soft with everything but rum and bread crumbs.
2. Mash till smooth.
3. Add rum.
4. If filling is to thin, add fine bread crumbs.
