- 170.09 g can tuna, drained and flaked
- 118.29 ml diced apple
- 59.14 ml mayonnaise
- 14.79 ml chopped green onion
- 4.92-9.85 ml Dijon mustard
- 2.46-4.92 ml curry powder
- salt and pepper
- 4 slice whole wheat bread, toasted
- 59.14 ml chopped toasted walnuts
- 4 slice cheddar cheese (1 oz.)
directions
- In a mixing bowl, add the first 7 ingredients; stir to combine.
- Spread 1/4 cup of the mixture on each slice of toasted bread.
- Sprinkle evenly with walnuts.
- Top with a slice of cheese.
- Place tuna melts on a baking sheet.
- Broil 5 inches away from the heat until the cheese is melted.

this is very good recipe, however i made a few changes. i omitted the mayo and mustard (i don't like the former and didn't have the latter) and used some plain yogurt instead. I also added a little chilli paste and i think i used more curry powder cause i love 'em spicy! i made them on english muffin halves instead of ww bread. i LOVE the melty cheese and the crunchy apples. Definitely not a boring sandwich!
