This is adapted form a local grocery store brochure. A nice "autumny" breakfast cake.

Hopeless rebel that I am I used light mayonnaise in this cake since that's all I had and I really had my heart set on making this. I'm so glad that I did because it is moist and delicious. The only change I made was to increase the apples to three as I felt there weren't enough.

I have to say I'm very pleased to be the first one to give this review and rating. This was made on 4/3/08,and my first mistake was only making half.I've heard of adding mayonnaise to cake batter before, but never using it as part of a crumb topping. And since only half was made, the baking time was cut down to about a 1/2 hour. The smell as it was baking was just wonderful. And after it cooled down a bit, and ate a piece ( or two )the taste was just as wonderful. This will be made again.Thank you for posting, and "Keep Smiling :)"
