Overall this was a great recipe - it was easy to make and had a good blend of flavours. I made a couple of modifications: I put 1/2 c. brown sugar in with the apples (I reserved 3/4 c. for the crumble), along with 2 of the tsps. of cinnamon. For the apples I used a combination of 3 granny smiths and 4 sweeter pie apples... I might play around with that some more. I found that the crumble on top was a little too floury, so next time I'll reduce it to 3/4 c. I also used quick-cook oats instead of regular. Thanks for sharing a winner!

Very tasty for sure. But I found that the topping was not as light as I like it (too thick and not as crumbly). I also used orange juice instead of lemon and still loved the results. Thanks!
