- 4 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 dash salt
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- Spread apples evenly over the base of a 9" pie plate.
- Combine all dry ingredients with butter until it forms a crumbly consistency.
- Pour mixture evenly over apple slices.
- Bake at 375F (190C) for 45 minutes or until top is brown.
