Great recipe!!! Thanks so much for putting a smile on my dad and son's faces. :D They love apples and I love to cook with them. The only thing dad said he'd do differently is more of the topping. Oh, and I followed with the suggestion before and used some sugar on the apples which seemed to be a great thing. Thanks again!

This is essentially the same recipe I use. However, I add 2 T. of white sugar to the apples before I put the topping on. I also add a touch of coconut to the topping. It really makes the dish!

Though I'm not an apple crisp fan, the kids thoroughly enjoyed it, which is saying a lot considering I was out of the mandatory vanilla ice cream to go with it !! I did leave out the nutmeg.
