We've had this recipe in our family for a long time. I pull it out whenever our apples start going bad, because it's a great way to use up apples. I always use whatever apple varieties we have on hand, most often yellow or red delicious.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Place apples in a baking dish and sprinkle with water, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In a bowl mix sugar, flour, and butter until crumbly. Spread crumb mixture over apples.
  3. Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes.

Excellent recipe, and very easy. I DESPISE apple crisp that has an oatmeal topping, so this one was perfect--very buttery and sweet, and the apples were tender and perfectly cooked.
