Directions

  1. Cream together sugars and shortening.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream.
  4. Fold in apples, nuts, and raisins.
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 325° about 8-10 minutes or until light brown.

This is a great recipe, easy, and healthy - I switched it up a bit, used butterscotch chips instead of raisins. Soft cookies, they are great to freeze a dozen for later. AND I cut the recipe in half using recipezaar's conversion link - I still got 4 dozen cookies. Anyways, thank you Charlotte J., for this recipe!!

This recipe was really easy, and delicious!! The cookies do spread so leave a little room. They stay soft, this is not a crunchy dunking cookie. It makes 5 or 6 dz. LeeAnn Lynch-Illinois
