Directions

  1. Combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
  2. Cut in butter until the size of peas.
  3. Combine egg and milk.
  4. Combine all with flour mixture.
  5. Press into bottom and 1 inch up sides of an 8 or 9-inch round pan.
  6. Cut cored apples into 12 wedges.
  7. Place on dough and sprinkle with raisins.
  8. For Topping cut in 2 tablespoons butter into rest of ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle on top.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

This has more of a crust than a cake. It was kind of dry but the kids liked it just fine.
