I liked these a lot they came out light tasting and textured. Since I changed a lot of the ingredients even though keeping with the basic recipe I will not give 4 stars. I made ours gluten free which worked very well using mostly white rice flour, some brown rice flour and half the amount of sweet rice flour that acts as a starch, I used more baking soda and some organic apple cider vinegar along with the apples to leave out the baking powder, I used sea salt, Balkan (thick) yogurt mixed with water for the butter milk and straight for the sour cream to be corn free, I used coconut butter/oil in place of the butter as that is what I had on hand and liked that it was lactose free that way, for the apple I used red delicious. DD1 (4 years) and I both found we didn't taste the apple/cinnamon that much but it was still lightly sweet with slight apple taste. Topped with honey for DD1. I may make these again with a tarter apple and serve with maple syrup.

I hade only half of the recipe but used 1 cup of homemade buttermilk instead of the half (3/4 cup). The pancakes were very fluffy and thick. I am waiting for my boyfriend to see if he likes :) Also made a cinnamon syrup and it was perfect. Thanks!

Yummy. I halved the recipe and it was enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Used 2% milk because that is what I had on hand, will make again with buttermilk. Thanks for sharing.

I used 2 tbs of brown sugar and I used butter. These pancakes are really yummy! My apple was not too large but the taste was still there :) Thanks Kit :) Made for Zaar Star Game.

Delicious Apple Pancakes! The batter is quite thick so on my first batch the center never quite cooked through even though the outsides were very brown. For the second batch, I added a touch of skim milk to even out the batter. The batter was still quite thick, so when pouring onto the griddle, I used the back of my wooden spoon and smoothed the batter out onto the pan somewhat to flatten. This trick worked very well to obtain a pancake that was cooked thoroughly. It is important to make sure your apples are grated unless you want a pancake with a bit of a crunch. I served with pure Canadian Maple syrup for a very delicious breakfast which I will be serving again. Thanks again, Kittencal : )

Yummy pancakes! A sprinkling of Hershey's Cinnamon Chips after I poured the batter onto the griddle made a nice addition. The batter was quite thick, so I added a couple tablespoons of milk to it. This keeper recipe yielded a delicious twelve 6-inch pancakes ~ Thanks for sharing!

Very flavorful pancakes and they smell wonderful too! I had a little trouble with the batter being so thick, next time I think I will add and egg and use 2 cups butter milk and 1/2 cup milk instead of the sour cream and maybe a little less flour. My family loved them, I will be making these again. Thanks you!

These were very good pancakes. They were very thick (as was the batter), but cooked all the way through without burning the outside. They were also an interesting colour because of the cinnamon. The recipe made 10 pancakes using a 1/4 cup ladle to put the batter into the frying pan. I'll make these again.
