Apple Cider Syrup

"This recipe is being posted to go along with my Recipe #219658, which calls for 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Syrup. Such syrups can be purchased now, but when I was originally making my mincemeat recipe, I made my own, & still do. This syrup can be used like an syrup, over pancakes, ice cream, pound cake, or spoon several tablespoons of it over apple pie filling before baking! Preparation time is approximate & DOES NOT INCLUDE time for syrup to cool to room temperature."

  1. This is such a nice, rich flavor and a great change of pace from regular syrup. I didn't have cheese cloth ...tried coffe filters at first..not recommended! Wound up having to borrow some cheesecloth from next door. Served these over pumpkin pancakes and they were a GREAT combo. Poured the rest in a jar with a ribbon around it and gave it to my neighbor as a thank you. Now I won't be tempted to eat the leftovers over everything in sight! Thanks for sharing.
