From The Sheraton World Cookbook. I love creme de cassis so I was attracted to this recipe.
- Put ice in 2 tall glasses.
- Pour 1/2 the creme de cassis over the ice in one glass and then the rest over the other.
- Pour 6 oz. of the apple juice and 3 oz. of the soda over the ice too.
- Stir and serve.
Light and refreshing, though I forgot the ice (definitely will remember next time). I used apple juice rather than apple cider, so I zinged it with a touch of grape juice. I might use only grape juice next time or cranberry juice, since I think purple/red juices complement the blackcurrant flavor of the cassis, though the apple is a nice contrast. I upped the seltzer to make it more fizzy, like the texture of kir (cassis with champagne).
