A great bread for breakfast. Cooking time is the amount of time it takes in my bread machine.
Make and share this Apple Chunk Bread for the Bread Machine recipe from Food.com.
- 1 cup milk
- 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 3 cups bread flour
- 2 1⁄2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 1⁄3 cups peeled and diced apples
- Put the first 7 ingredients in the pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Set for a medium crust.
- At the beep add the peeled and diced apples.
I had some apples to use up so made this..was lovely toasted with cream cheese..thanks for posting!
This was a tasty bread. I wasn't sure when to add the apple as my machine doesn't beep so I put it in on top of the other ingredients. I also added raisins. We tried eating it warm but it completely disintegrated when we tried to cut it so we had to wait until it had cooled down. Thanks for the recipe.
Wonderful bread! Just the right amount of sweetness. I did use brown sugar not white sugar. I added my diced honeycrisp apples at the bread machine's beep. This is when you really have to watch the dough. After the apples were kneading in, the doughball got much to wet. I added more flour, gradually one tbsp at a time, until the doughball was just right. I may have used 5 tbsp of flour or so. The end result was delicious and just the right texture.....with little pieces of soft apple here and there. The kids especially loved this bread (they are apple fanatics). This bread will be made often here. I may even add some finely ground nuts next time. Thanx for sharing!
