  • Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then stir in the egg and vanilla.
  • Add the combined dry ingredients, blending well.
  • Stir in the cheese, apples and nuts.
  • Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F. for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack or plate.

  1. I made these as is and they were pretty darn good. I have a very sweet tooth so I'll definitely try them again with a few additions. I think they could benefit from extra cinnamon and a little extra sweetner., I might even use a "sharper" cheese. I made these in my healthy style so.. gluten free flours, monkfruit sweetner instead of sugar. For nuts I used almonds.
     
  2. Made these today- they are SO good! Made exactly as written- used pecan cookie pieces (small chips) for the nuts. I have been wanting to try them for awhile, and glad I did! I love that they are not too sweet- perfectly savory/sweet. Will be making these again and again, for sure! Thanks truebrit!

  4. These are so incredible! They are so different that I hesitated making them, but I'm so glad I did. My toddler is eating them right now. I used hazelnuts for the nuts. Soft, sweet and delicious!
     
  5. YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM!!!!! I used soft brown sugar, golden delicious apples. I did add a few sunflower seeds to make up the 1?4 cup nuts and three dried apricots finely chopped up.BEST cookies I have made.Thank so much . MY 9 year old son loved them!! Watch out bottoms cook faster than top.
