Apple Butterscotch Bread

- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1⁄2 cup nuts, chopped
- 1⁄3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 egg
- 1 cup applesauce
directions
- Stir together biscuit mix, oats, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add butterscotch pieces, raisins, and cuts. Combine egg and milk; stir.
- Add applesauce; beat mixture vigorously by hand for 30 seconds.
- Spoon into large greased and floured loaf pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool before slicing.
