Apple Brown Betty Streusel

"This is a great recipe to use up leftover stale bread! Try to use Granny Smith apples for this if not use a firm baking apple, you can add in some frozen cranberries or fresh blueberries in with the apples if desired, just reduce the apples slightly :)"

  1. This turned out wonderful. I added raisins and chopped pecans as that's how my mom makes her brown betty. She agrees this is a keeper.

  3. This was excellant Kitten. I'd never had a Brown Betty before, I quite liked it...I love the texture, like spicy applesauce. Very quick and easy to make. I used previously frozen apples, lime juice and lemon zest. Very yummy! I love the flavour that the apple cider and spices give the dish. Thanks so much for sharing.
