With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in margarine and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add 1/2 cup to apple mixture, mix well. Sprinkle remainder over apples. Bake uncovered in 375* oven about 40 minutes or until apple is tender and top is lightly browned. Serve warm as is or with ice cream or whipped topping.

  1. Really good. But we found it too sweet. I also added oats. I needed it done sooner, so I put it in the microwave first for 4 min on high to soften the apples, then I browned it at 450* in the oven for about 10 min. Everyone enjoyed it despite being sweeter than we are used to.

  2. This recipe was easy and delicious! I loved the addition of peanut butter, and mixed with the cinnamon and brown sugar it was the perfect flavor combination. I added 3/4 C. of oats to give it more texture, and I reduced the flour slightly to compensate for the oats. It turned out perfect, and I will be making this again!

  3. This quick and easy apple crisp was yummy! I was intrigued by the addition of the peanut butter, and enjoyed the subtle, delicious flavor that it added to this crisp. I used Braeburn apples instead of tart apples, as they are my favorite apples to bake with. Also, I had to add about 10 - 15 minutes to the baking time for the apples to get tender. I served this warm with vanilla bean ice cream...yum! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. It is definitely a keeper!<br/>**Made for 2011 Football Pool**

  4. This is just lovely. Just the right amount of peanut butter. Made for New Kids on the Block. :)
