Any Flavor Yogurt Shake / Smoothie

"This started out as an experiment, but I loved the results, so I decided to share! I used 1/4 cup 8th Continent light original soymilk, but I needed some more liquid so I added 1/4 cup water. I made this using cherry-flavored Jello, and it was fabulous... I can't wait to try it with other flavors! Hope you like it, too."

ingredients

  • 150.25 g container vanilla yogurt
  • 10 g carton sugar-free jello
  • 118.29 ml light soymilk
  • 4 ice cubes

directions

  • Combine the ice cubes and soymilk and blend until the ice cubes are crushed.
  • Add the yogurt and Jello, and blend for two or three minutes.
  • Let stand five minutes before serving.

  1. This was pretty good and certainly easy.I used about 1 cup of soymilk. Next time I may cut back on the jello, it was a little too sweet and strong for my taste.

I also struggle with anorexia, and so most of the recipes I create or try are low-calorie and fat-free. I do love to bake, though, and I'm able to do that for others right now, which is nice. I also keep kosher; that, combined with the fact that I don't really eat meat or cheese, means that most of my recipes (or recipes that I try) are non-dairy and vegetarian, or can be easily adapted to suit that. Kitchen gadgets are a horrible weakness of mine ... it is just so much fun to try out crazy new products that sometimes I can't help myself! Limited kitchen storage space has managed to sort of curtail that little habit.
