I drink this when flying instead of alcohol. It helps to keep me hydrated. The recipe was given to me on a flight from Philly to LA by a flight attendant. I had upgraded to first class, so the flight attendants were great! This is also my drink of choice when I am trying to keep a clear head while everyone else is indulging in alcohol or if I am taking medication that doesn't mix with alcohol. It makes me feel like I am having a cocktai. Try it the next time you are the designated driver.
- 4 ounces club soda
- 4 ounces orange juice (premium, no concentrates please)
- 1 wedge lime, juice of (plus additional slice for garnish)
- orange slice (garnish) (optional)
- Mix together well.
- Garnish with fruit slices and serve over ice.
Good flavor combination but a tad too tart. This could use a little sugar. Made for PAC 2012 Fall.
This was quite refreshing. I squeezed the juice of the whole lime (not just 1 lime wedge, as stated in the directions), but it was OK because I like a lot lime-based cocktails. But it was just a tad tart, so I would recommend others stick with the juice of a single lime wedge unless they want an extra-tart drink. It was still quite delicious, in my opinion. I was thinking of serving this for our family Thanksgiving feast this year to those who don't embibe, and maybe add a splash of cranberry juice. But even as written, this is quite a refreshing beverage.
Very good, thanks
