This is an old favorite around our house for those cold Michigan fall and winters, and especially nice at football games.

Simple and delicious. I used Irish Breakfast tea. The spices and fruit juices went together nicely. The pineapple makes it taste a lot like cider. This tea is soothing hot and refreshing cold. Would probably also make a nice hot toddy with a little rum or vodka added in. It was a little sweet for me though and I'd probably cut back on the juice mixture next time; also the ingredients for the juice mixture really should be included in the ingredients list. They're half the ingredients and not necessarily things people always have on hand. Thanks.

Directions

  1. Boil water with cloves and cinnamon rapidly for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, cover, and add 4 tea bags, and let "steep" for at least 4 hours (we like to let it steep overnight).
  3. After "steeping" is complete, in another pan combine: 2 cups Orange juice 2 cups Pineapple juice 1 cup Lemon juice 2 cups Sugar. Heat gently, stirring to melt and mix sugar.
  4. Drain "solids" from tea mixture. Combine all together and heat to enjoy.
