A recipe from Goose Berry Patch cookbook, Made From Scratch, these rolls are as light as 'angel feathers'! You'll have them begging for more...

  1. Mix yeast with warm water and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, beat together the milk, eggs, sugar, salt and oil.
  3. Mix in the flour.
  4. Cover and let rest overnight.
  5. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
  6. Divide into half and roll each into rounds, 1/4" thickness.
  7. Try not to work the surface flour into the dough.
  8. Cut each circle into 8 pie-shaped wedges.
  9. Roll up each wedge crescent style, starting with the wide end, rolling to the end point. Don't roll them to tight!
  10. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet (or on parchment paper) and allow to rest until double in bulk.
  11. Bake in preheated 375F oven, on the middle rack, for 12 minutes.
  12. Time shown does not include the 'overnight' period. I've allowed 1 hour for rising (included with cooking time).

These truly are heavenly! The taste and texture are dreamy and the best part is is that they are the easiest rolls in the world. I made some and took over to my brothers family and my 18 year old nephew text me that night and said "Thanks for the rolls, they were out of this world". I have tried these using melted butter instead of oil and they turned out even yummier! I was afraid it would change the texture but they were about the same :)

Wow, this was a great find! These rolls are so light and delicious and just plain old yummy. I used my bread machine to mix the dough, then let it rest in a warm spot, covered with a towel for about 4 hours. Then I punched it down and rolled it into crescents and let rise about 45 min. They rose just beautifully and were gorgeous (see photo). I did find them to be a bit sweet so I'll reduce the sugar by a few tablespoonfuls next time. You must try these, you will love them. Made for PAC 2011. These go in the "Best of the Best" file. Thx so much Sharflan!

These rolls were very good and we enjoyed them very much. They are easy to make and light and so good flavored. All you need is a little butter to make them rolls from heaven above, No wonder they are called angel rolls :)
