These are really good cookies. They remind me much more of sugar cookies than shortbread however. I got closer to 6 dozen as I rolled the dough into about 1 inch balls before pressing with the fork. The brown sugar adds a bit more depth than your regular sugar cookie. A nice little change up from the ordinary.
I agree with the first poster - very similar to sugar cookies but with a brown sugar variation. Cookies are soft & chewy or nice & crunchy depending on your bake time. This is a great little recipe for a quick snack using very common ingredients!
