I can't get self-rising flour here, so I added a quarter teaspoon of baking soda to regular flour, and a teaspoon and a half of lemon juice to the milk. They rose beautifully. This recipe was very easy and make a good lowfat, low calorie biscuit. I will make these again, but next time may add a tiny bit of baking pawder and baking soda as another reviewer suggested, just to make them a touch lighter. Thanks, Audrey M., for another good low calorie recipe.
These are a very easy and tasty recipe to prepare! I added 1/4 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp of baking soda and they rose beautifully! Also, I may try subbing buttermilk for the milk as I think that would be a very good addition, and maybe some yeast. These tasted even better the second day warmed up in the microwave!
