This recipe has been passed down in my family for years. It's a sweet biscuit, we use it a lot for breakfast. This biscuit is also lighter in color, so it won't be very brown when it is done. I'm lazy and make these as drop biscuits, but the other women in my family roll out the dough.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix dry ingredients.
  3. Cut in butter.
  4. Slowly add buttermilk while mixing other ingredients.
  5. Knead just a few times.
  6. Either roll out or drop.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Enjoy! :).
