A Jamie Oliver recipe. Good hearty dressing for a substantial salad, perhaps a warm potato salad...!
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 6 anchovy fillets, pounded to a coarse paste
- 1 tablespoon capers, chopped
- Mix together all ingredients.
- Salt should not be needed because of the anchovies.
Wonderful - wouldn't change a thing. A rich & flavorful dressing! A little goes a long way. I blended it all together with my handblender. Served drizzled over Tomato Patties & it made the dish. Can't wait to serve it over my salad tomorrow night, but this dressing will be great over many hearty foods! A great dressing recipe to have in the recipe box. Perfect! I love anchovy in salad dressings (try to pull me away from a Caesar salad!) and this was a most excellent dressing. Loved the addition of capers - I used lovely, fat berries from Santorini. Served over a very plain salad of tomato and cucumber slices.
