  1. This recipe is sweet. I brought this to a group function, and those with sweet tooths were in heaven, while the rest of us thought it was a bit overdone. If you like your desserts sweet, you might give this s try!

  2. The reason it is called Tears on My Pillow is that when baking it puffs up nice and big and then collapses during set up time. It was a family recipe that had been passed down and lost during Hurricaine Rita. Thank you for posting it. It is a truly amazing recipe.

  3. This pie is really easy to make, and I think it's exquisitely good. It has a strong brown sugar flavor and it is somewhat similar to pecan pie in texture and sweetness. The slices hold their shape perfectly. It reheats really well, and is worth hotting up. It's a power-packed sweet for the times when you need one; the evap. milk and eggs back up the sweetness with real nourishment. I used sucanat for the brown sugar and wholewhat pastry flour for the flour. This worked fine. Thanks for the recipe!

  5. My family loved this. My husband didn't want to wait for it to cool so he cut it too early. Even though it was one big puddle of goo, I got nothing but compliments everyone loved it. I used my pat in the pan pie crust to go with this very good pie thanks Miss Annie!
