Made these to go with seafood for the super bowl and they were a hit! I had to triple the recipe. I reccomend everyone try these, they would be good with beans or chili.....just about anything.

Yes, like the stars say: we LOVED it! A simple dish, which I served with Asian Caramelized Chicken. I didn't realise that I needed deep fat frying (I don't have a deep fryer) so I fried them in shallow oil in a skillet. Made no difference -- they were great! Toooo good: I could hardly stop scoffing them! The recipe was perfect as it stands -- no need for tweaks. Thanks, Miss Annie!!!

Oh, Miss Annie!! These were wonderful! I was browsing your page and saw your cookbook of Amish and Mennonite recipes. Looked through it and saw this one - I am an onion lover! I suggested to my DH that maybe a bit of fresh ground pepper would be nice and his words were "Don't you change a thing - they're perfect!" And they are so easy to make. There you go. Next, I am going to try your Cabbage Casserole - cabbage is one of our favourite veggies. If it is nearly as good as your Onion Patties, we'll both be in Heaven. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
