Not dry at all. I used 24oz of 4% cottage cheese and added 1t onion powder, dry mustard & white pepper. Next time I will use a little less shredded cheese.

I am sorry but we did not care for this. Made as directed, read all reviews prior to making. The flavor was good but the texture was somewhat grainy or off somehow we think it is because you don't cook the macaroni first. We ate our servings but threw the rest, about a half a pan, out. Sorry.

I've made this about a thousand times now, lol! I have finally perfected it. The first few times it was a little dry, however, I figured out exactly when to pull it out, how important it was to stir, etc... I also use 4% cottage cheese to give it that extra moistness. I sometimes add diced ham now, and make it a meal!

I had no problem at all with this being dry - but I cooked it covered and it turned out perfectly. I'll add a little bit of spice next time, but otherwise, no adjustments needed. :)

Thanks for posting, because I never would have figured out how to make this! Very simple, in both preparation and taste. It's very good though. My macaroni is a bit chewey, some are even straight up crunch still, but that's okay. Pretty low fat and low cal for mac and cheese. Be sure to stir it like you mean it! Thanks for sharing!

I have to admit to being a bit skeptical about this recipe after reading all the "dry" comments. But I was pleasantly surprised. As long as you follow the stirring instructions this is a creamy and easy mac & cheese recipe. Just as good as any other I've tried and a hit with my family.

Sorry. I really wanted to like this. I added almost one cup more water because of other comments and it still was very dry. I was able to salvage it after it was cooked by adding lots of milk and more cheese so we ate it but this was not a keeper. It had a fairly good flavor. But I think the reason it is so dry is that the starch that is usually thrown away in the water when you cook the macaroni is still there. The longer it sits the drier it gets.

This recipe tasted good, a little dry, but my 7 year old liked it and he is my pickest eater. Also everyone else in the family liked it. Thank you for a easy macroni and cheese recipe. It's a keeper.

I wasn't sure how this would turn out so I only made 1/2 of the recipe. I should have made the entire thing! My family enjoyed every bite. It could be a little creamier, I might use milk instead of water next time.

This was the first time I have made mac and cheese without cooking the macaroni first. It was also the first time I have put cottage cheese in it. We liked it and will make it again. Thanks Rev. Colt. Bullwinkle.
